Come work with me!

I'm looking for students who are interested in research broadly related to sediment transport mechanics in modern and/or ancient river systems using a suite of approaches including, but not limited to: physical experiments, numerical modeling, repeat multibeam sonar, and other field observations.
Interested students should contact me directly (kate.leary@nmt.edu) for more information. Please provide a brief summary of your interests and relevant background.
Potential projects include (but are not limited to):
-Exploring the sub-bedform scale dynamics of sediment transport over three dimensional bedforms (physical experiments)
- Evaluating the kinematics of modern bedforms on the Colorado and Rio Grande Rivers (field observations; repeat multibeam sonar)
- Quantifying the kinematics and preservation potential of ancient bedforms in unsteady flow conditions (physical experiments; field observations)
